Chapel Guardian are saddened to receive word of the passing of Rev. Donald Schwartz.
Despite the ugly business that has continually taken place among special interests at the new Chapel of Awareness, there has never been any question as to Donald's dedication to Chapel over the decades. So it is with deep sadness that we mark his passing, and it is with highest and best wishes that his crossing has been peaceful.
Aside from word of mouth, there has been no official announcement from the new Chapel leadership as of Sept. 9. We await word from Chapel leadership about the circumstances of his passing, and plans for any memorial.

Don touched many people in his own way. He also created beauty in his artwork and shared this with so very many. A most amazing talent. Don together with his mother and Gene are all responsible for the founding of Chapel. Most amazing and wonderful for the thousands that passed through the doors of Chapel. Don embraced Chapel's precepts, lack of dogma ,lack of personal agendas, honesty and demonstrated compassion for others. He also admitted his mistakes and worked to continually improve himself and assist others. Just think if all passing through the doors not only shared this , but demonstrated it? Much thanks to Don for his past efforts and example, the present and the future.
ReplyDeleteNone of us can argue Donald's love of Chapel and what it meant. Thank you, Donald!
